PrismHR is a small, family-run manufacturing company known for its quality and reliability. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to take ownership of new business development, focusing on prospecting and building a pipeline in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a consistent 30/60/90-day pipeline through daily prospecting and networking
- Identify and engage decision-makers—owners, directors, or project managers—within small to mid-sized businesses
- Use curiosity to ask the right questions, qualify effectively, and create interest in tailored solutions rather than off-the-shelf products
- Comfortably discuss how products are designed, built, and installed
- Handle basic measurements and read blueprints
- Prove your ability to generate and qualify strong opportunities and transition to taking on more of the sales process over time
Skills
- Proven Success: Prior success selling into SMBs and reaching decision-makers such as owners or project managers
- Hunting Instincts: Experience building your own pipeline in environments where competition is real and price is a factor
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort with basic measurements and reading blueprints to understand how custom products are built
- Discipline: The ability to work independently and stay disciplined with activity and follow-up in a sales cycle typically lasting 2–3 months or longer
- Communication: Exceptional engagement skills, with the ability to create interest in companies that may not be actively looking
