Dotdash Meredith is a leading media and digital company, and they are seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to join their Beauty team. The role involves managing the pre-sale process and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships with advertising partners while collaborating closely with various brand teams.


Responsibilities

  • Manage proactive and RFP responses, creating smart, strategic ideas for advertising partners in the Beauty vertical
  • Collaborate across the People Inc. portfolio to create sellable opportunities for advertisers that are grounded in our brand’s most influential franchises and tentpoles
  • Lead internal conversations with People Inc. brands and verticals to communicate high-value opportunities to the Beauty sales team on a regular basis
  • Bring ideas to life through well-written and visually-appealing proposals that represent our brands, capabilities, and ideas flawlessly
  • Partner closely with Editorial, Events, Studios Research, Account Strategy, and Design to ensure proposals effectively communicate our unique value proposition
  • Develop strong relationships with the sales team to become experts on their business; provide support on client calls, as needed
  • Integrated proposal development (creative brainstorming, strategic writing, designing proposal, scope management, liaising with appropriate teams to gather all information)
  • Presentation Development (category presentations, program sell-sheets, etc.)
  • Fostering relationships with outside brand teams to bring opportunities to the beauty and style vertical

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
  • 1-2 years relevant experience at a digital and/or print publisher, with a focus in pre-sales marketing; background in Beauty category is a plus
  • Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote and Powerpoint)
  • Excellent communicator, who remains poised under pressure and can tailor messages for different audiences
  • Understanding of digital advertising landscape, products, and trends; understanding of social, experiential, print and/or programmatic marketplace is a plus
  • True self-starter – provide proactive ideas, understand organizational goals, and move initiatives forward
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
