Position Overview: Associate Engineering Director

As the Associate Engineering Director at arenaflex, you will serve as a Partner Engineering Chief, responsible for owning, building, and nurturing an engineering organization dedicated to delivering new products while supporting our existing portfolio. Your leadership will extend beyond technical oversight—you will be instrumental in recruitment, staff development, and setting the engineering direction for multiple teams within your domain.   • Strategic Partnership with Product: Collaborate closely with Product leadership to drive product strategy, ensuring alignment between product vision and engineering teams. You will balance prioritization between new product development and technical excellence, creating a harmonious workflow that delivers outstanding results.
  • Technical Strategy Development: Define the technical strategy and direction for engineering, guiding teams to adopt industry best practices and establishing robust engineering foundations that will scale as our business grows. Your technical acumen will influence architectural decisions and drive innovation across all engineering initiatives.
  • Culture Building: Build an engineering culture that is client-focused, agile, diverse, and inclusive. Your teams will be empowered and highly productive, fostering an environment where creativity thrives and team members feel valued and motivated to deliver their best work.
  • Organizational Design: Define the organizational structure for engineering, including hiring, retaining, and growing engineers and managers.   • Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in engineering leadership roles, demonstrating your ability to drive technical excellence and lead teams effectively.
  • Team Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience managing and leading engineering teams, showcasing your capability to guide, develop, and inspire technical professionals toward common goals.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex systems, evaluate architectural decisions, and provide strategic guidance on technical matters.
