Associate Attorney

The Cook Group is a nationally ranked law firm committed to client service with formidable legal talent. They are seeking an associate to join their Pennsylvania office, responsible for handling a high-volume case load and preparing defense strategies.

Responsibilities

• Preparing files for defense from inception to resolution
• Extensive reporting and communication with clients and insurers
• Conducting depositions
• Preparing and arguing motions
• Appearing in court and trial preparation

Skills

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is a must
• 0 to 3 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation
• Excellent academic credentials
• Superior research and analytical skills
• Superb writing and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to perform all aspects of the position satisfactorily while working both independently and as part of a team
• Admission to the West Virginia Bar is a plus
• Asbestos litigation experience a plus
