Position Overview: Director of Information Security – Identity & Access Management

We are looking for a strategic leader who can guide our Identity and Access Management team to new heights, providing leadership and training grounded in a deep understanding of information security risks.

This pivotal position will lead the Identity Control and Investigation team, which reports into the Identity Lifecycle Management organization. As the head of this team comprising Security Analysts, Managers, and Specialists, you will play a critical role in safeguarding arenaflex's digital assets and ensuring the highest standards of security compliance.

What You Will Make an Impact In This Role

As a Director of Information Security at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of our Identity and Access Management function. Your leadership will directly influence how arenaflex protects its employees, customers, and stakeholders from evolving cybersecurity threats. Here's what you can expect to accomplish:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction around Identity and Access Management for internal partners and contractors, with a particular focus on ensuring that arenaflex continues to deliver least privilege access across all systems and applications.
• Team Development: Lead a team of Information Security Analysts, Managers, and Specialists in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide meaningful insights and recommendations that improve our security posture.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure the continued operation and effectiveness of key Identity and Access Management controls, including Access Reviews and Revocation Processes. You will be accountable for maintaining robust processes that protect arenaflex from internal and external threats.
• Process Innovation: Identify potential opportunities to reduce friction by driving the team to design solutions that proactively minimize the need for human intervention in IAM controls, leveraging automation and intelligent workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams within Information Security to ensure IAM controls are part of a defense-in-depth strategy that protects arenaflex clients, partners, and investors from information security risks.
• Talent Development: Lead and mentor a team of experienced Information Security Professionals to ensure their continued growth and engagement. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Executive Presence: Manage upward through executive presence by distilling complex details into findings and recommendations that can be actioned at the highest levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or other related field, or equivalent work experience in the information security domain.
• A minimum of 3 years in a role primarily focused on Information Security, with demonstrated expertise in identity and access management disciplines.
• A minimum of 3 years in a direct leadership position with a proven track record of coaching and developing others in their professional growth journey.
• Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management, with the ability to see all aspects of the IAM lifecycle, including the risks and vulnerabilities inherent in identity management systems.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to lead a team in developing those same analytical capabilities.
• Ability to recruit and grow talent within Information Security, with a particular focus on utilizing employee leadership to drive engagement of direct reports.
• Ability to adapt in a technically complex and rapidly changing environment and to respond calmly and judiciously to changing expectations in deadline-driven situations.
• Ability to manage upward through executive presence by simplifying complex details into findings and recommendations that can be actioned.
• Understanding of the audit and regulatory environment of financial institutions, including compliance requirements and industry standards.
• Experience with risk management frameworks such as NIST and regulatory frameworks like PCI DSS.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

• Industry certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or other related security certifications.
• Six Sigma or other related analysis certifications that demonstrate expertise in process improvement and data-driven decision making.
• Advanced degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• Experience with cloud identity providers and modern IAM technologies including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of zero trust architecture principles and implementation.
