Underwriting Operations Representative (HYBRID)

Equitable is a company dedicated to helping clients secure their financial well-being since 1859. They are seeking an Underwriting Operations Representative to process requests from distribution partners, collaborate with Underwriting, and enhance product knowledge for self-development.

Responsibilities

• Meeting the turnaround times on RFP Inventory assignments
• Processing requests from distribution partners and internal stakeholders and partnering with Underwriting to be sure the case is set up correctly
• Continuing to learn product and process knowledge for self-development and future advancement
• Identifying reasons for non-standard processing of RFPs
• Creating quote cards and proposals for a portion of groups after the RFP intake process
• Working with Underwriting to edit proposals
• Releasing proposals for a portion of groups to sales executives
• Working with AI to improve its accuracy and function by providing feedback and suggestions
• Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Skills

• Basic Understanding of Document Management, including using EXL, Word, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office platforms
• Basic Understanding of Effective Communication with internal partners, including strong written skills
• Basic Understanding of managing multiple priorities, including priorities with varying deadlines
• Bachelors degree
• Preferred experience with Salesforce
• Preferred experience with Group Employee Benefits (Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity)
