Position Overview
We are seeking a Travel Management System (TMS) Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert for the ConcurGov Travel Application. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and user-focused travel operations by supporting system configuration, testing enhancements, and providing advanced user support.
You will work closely with stakeholders including the Federal Finance Center (FINCEN), TSA Travel Administrators, and the ConcurGov Help Desk to resolve issues, improve system performance, and support modernization initiatives.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Serve as SME for ConcurGov and related travel systems
Configure and maintain system components (LOAs, routing lists, policies)
Test system updates, enhancements, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
Develop requirements, participate in design reviews, and support system modernization efforts
Create training materials, job aids, and user communications
Analyze system performance and generate reports to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and agency policies
Provide advanced troubleshooting and end-user support
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or 8+ years of relevant experience)
3+ years of experience with SAP Concur, ConcurGov, or similar systems
Experience with system administration (LOAs, routing, policy configuration)
Strong understanding of federal financial systems and integrations
Experience testing system updates and enhancements
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR)
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DHS suitability
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ETS / ETS Next
Experience supporting system migrations or modernization efforts
Familiarity with GSA GO.gov or federal travel transformation initiatives
Experience in change management and user adoption
Ability to translate business needs into system solutions
