About the Role:
As a CBRE Sr Regional Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of medium to large sized buildings.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
- What You will Do:
- Critical role that requires strong lab/life sciences background.
- Handles all labs within the assigned market with 10 sites with close to 1mm sf of lab space.
- Very high-demand role.
- Budgeting and P/Os.
- Directly managing the customer in terms of quality. HSE etc.
- Client development and oversight.
- 9 direct reports with 27 indirect reports.
- Computer literacy SI7 and/or Coupa helpful.
- Soft services and strong communication skills.
- Will have site leads as indirect or direct reports
- Will be walking around the facilities constantly
- Provide senior-level supervision to 9 Facilities Managers and their teams, ensuring effective leadership development, staff training, and performance evaluations.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for facility operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects across multiple regions.
- Conduct regular regional facility inspections, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and driving operational efficiencies.
- Manage and optimize budgets, including capital expenditures, operating budgets, and variance reports across multiple regions.
- Foster and maintain positive client relationships, addressing and resolving complex facility issues and conducting high-level meetings.
- Oversee and negotiate with vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead initiatives to enhance environmental health and safety procedures across all facilities under your purview.
- Conduct advanced process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Engage in high-level problem-solving, addressing organizational challenges that may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
- Model and promote CBRE RISE values, influencing various stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
- What You will Need:
- Critical role that requires strong lab/life sciences background.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior management experience required.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Exchanges and explains complex and difficult information, conveys performance expectations, and handles sensitive issues.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
