Senior Performance Engineer / Performance Tester

Job Description:
• Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing for large-scale IRS applications.
• Develop and run performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios.
• Monitor system metrics and analyze application performance under load.
• Identify system bottlenecks and provide tuning recommendations to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, administrators, and business analysts on performance requirements.
• Document test results and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with IRS standards and federal guidelines.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of performance testing experience.
• Must have active IRS MBI clearance with IRS laptop and badge.
• Hands-on expertise with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad.
• Strong SQL skills for backend validation and test data preparation.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ensure compliance with IRS standards and federal guidelines.
