About the Role: Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics

You will lead comprehensive efforts to identify, analyze, and combat adversarial behavior including account takeovers, coordinated abuse, engagement fraud, spam, and content evasion schemes. As the leader of our Adversarial Abuse and Analytics team, you will drive the fight against bad actors while generating actionable insights that inform strategy across the entire Trust & Safety ecosystem. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Global Operations, and Policy Development to build robust detection systems, create effective enforcement mechanisms, and develop data-driven solutions that stay ahead of evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics, you will assume comprehensive ownership of our adversarial abuse prevention efforts and business analytics functions. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of termination, and other forms of platform abuse. Additionally, oversee the Business Analytics team responsible for generating insights, measuring undetected abuse, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide.
  • Trend Anticipation: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks emerging from new and scaling industry trends, including the rise of generative AI and other sophisticated manipulation techniques that threaten platform integrity.
  • Policy Collaboration: Work closely with the Policy Development team to create policies leveraging account, social, and content signals to identify and address harmful behavioral patterns across the platform.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive effective and efficient operational performance—including quality metrics and service levels—within a global team operating 24×7 across multiple time zones.
  • Talent Management: Attract, retain, manage, and develop top-tier talent within your organization, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Manage escalations requiring rapid response times, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building strong relationships with key cross-functional partners to successfully launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present findings, recommendations, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership and board-level audiences with clarity and persuasive communication.
  • Innovation Drive: Lead the development of new methodologies, tools, and approaches for detecting and preventing emerging forms of abuse before they scale.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring a combination of education, experience, and proven capabilities:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating analytical excellence and strategic thinking.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Technical Collaboration: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with engineering teams to build data infrastructure and machine learning models that power detection and prevention systems.
  • Leadership Resilience: Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as acceleration requires, demonstrating flexibility and commitment during critical incident responses.
  • Operational Availability: This role requires periodic on-call availability, including the ability to respond to emergencies on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be particularly well-suited for this role:


  • Advanced Education: Postgraduate degree in a related field such as analytics, engineering, data science, or business administration from a recognized institution.
  • Advanced Analytics: Minimum of 2 years of experience with large-scale dataset analysis and anomaly detection techniques that identify subtle patterns of abuse.
  • Anti-Abuse Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience or exhibited interest in anti-abuse operations, with deep understanding of adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL, R, Matlab, or similar analytical programming languages that enable sophisticated data analysis and modeling.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional interpersonal and executive communication skills with the ability to build influential relationships across functional boundaries and present complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic Judgment: Excellent business judgment combined with strategic and analytical capabilities, including the ability to leverage data to drive strategy and business action in a rapidly changing industry while managing ambiguity and minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.
