This position is a critical member of our Engineering Group within the Integrated Operations Division at arenaflex. As a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing expert engineering support to the maintenance and operation of our aircraft and related equipment. What You'll Do
As a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at arenaflex, your contributions will directly impact the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet. Here's what you can expect in this dynamic role:
- Lead Training Initiatives: Conduct comprehensive training sessions for Engineers in your area(s) of expertise, sharing knowledge and best practices that elevate the entire team's capabilities.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Serve as a trusted mentor and guide to other Engineers, helping them navigate complex technical challenges and develop their professional skills.
- Team Leadership: Function as a team leader or facilitator for project management initiatives and issue resolution efforts, driving results that improve operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities as required, ensuring that Engineering procedures are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals.
- Technical Documentation Development: Develop customized methods and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals.
- Operational Awareness: Stay informed about daily airline operations within your field of responsibility. Review daily needs according to aircraft and departmental objectives and management directives.
- Issue Analysis & Resolution: Analyze aircraft and component issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities. Determine appropriate corrective actions swiftly and effectively.
- Technical Support: Provide Engineering support as needed for attitude correction of discrepant situations affecting aircraft or parts to restore operational status.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is needed to assist operations or resolve issues.
- Project Planning: Develop action plans for fleet, multi-fleet, and component Engineering projects and pursue detailed resolutions according to assessed needs.
- Departmental Coordination: Coordinate with other airline divisions as needed to facilitate effective and efficient execution of Engineering procedures.
- Technical Procedure Implementation: Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft and departmental objectives and management directives.
- Regulatory Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Professional Development: Use available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Also, strive to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with frontline team members and management in a collaborative and supportive manner.
All You'll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or related Engineering certification
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Engineering experience in a related field OR 2 years of experience without a degree
- Certification: A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license is required
Required Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze technical data and make information-driven decisions
- Adaptability: Demonstrated aptitude, ability, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in airline or aerospace engineering
- Familiarity with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations
- Experience with aircraft fleet management
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification
