The Sales Support Associate plays a critical role in the operations of the Group Benefits sales team, working closely with Account Managers and Group Benefit Analysts to deliver products to the market.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotes and presentations via in-house software and Microsoft Office suite tools
  • Package and email annual renewals to advisors on behalf of Account Executives
  • Underwrite and price new groups and amendments
  • Work collaboratively with Group Benefit Analysts and Account Managers to deliver Canada Life products to the market
  • Develop a strong competency of our systems and processes
  • Act as a liaison between our office and advisors to investigate and gather missing information
  • Certain assignments and specialized tasks: such as broker commissions, report creation, and other various administrative duties

Skills

  • Post-secondary education
  • Strong critical thinking skills with an analytical approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe; aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Excellent time management and organization: ability to prioritize multiple tasks and expectations, ability to plan and organize work, meets deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Responds promptly to requests; tact, courteous, and patient in all communications internal and external
  • Experience in the group benefits industry would be an asset
