S&P Global is a leading organization in market intelligence, seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their commercial team. This role focuses on pipeline generation and client engagement, providing a pathway for career advancement in sales.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct account analysis to identify growth areas within existing contracts
  • Track customer engagement and usage patterns to uncover scope expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists to execute targeted upsell initiatives
  • Use Salesforce and PowerBI to identify whitespace within accounts and regions
  • Qualify opportunities through strategic client outreach and needs assessment
  • Launch cross-sell campaigns to introduce new products and data solutions to existing accounts
  • Manage inbound leads and conduct outbound campaigns to drive new business opportunities
  • Qualify prospects, schedule discovery calls, and progress leads through the pipeline
  • Use CRM and sales engagement tools to ensure consistent follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and accurate reporting
  • Shadow live sales cycles across all stages from prospecting to proposal
  • Contribute to demos, proposal creation, and contract execution as skills advance
  • Develop commercial acumen through real-time interaction with clients and internal stakeholders

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong interest in financial markets, client engagement, and commercial career progression
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive self-starter with resilience, intellectual curiosity, and growth mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience or internship in sales, client engagement, or financial services
  • Familiarity with contract terms, pricing structures, or commercial processes
  • Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn complex product offerings
