[Remote] Transmission Engineer Associate

The Transmission Engineer Associate will assist with research, data analysis, and project support for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic research on transmission systems, interconnection opportunities, and market dynamics
• Support the preparation of interconnection applications for Solar PV, PV+BESS, and standalone BESS projects
• Assist in preliminary transmission screenings to identify viable project locations
• Help track project interconnection milestones and maintain project documentation
• Summarize and communicate findings to project teams in a clear and concise manner
• Support the evaluation of grid upgrade costs and schedules with guidance from senior team members
• Assist with utility and ISO/RTO correspondence and documentation
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure
• Internship or project experience related to renewable energy, transmission, or power systems is a plus
• Familiarity with basic power systems concepts (e.g., transmission, load flow, interconnection)
• Exposure to modeling or analysis software such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, or TARA is a plus
