[Remote] Senior Accountant - 100% WORK FROM HOME, CPA REQUIRED!

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LHH is working with a well-known, fast-growing company in the consumer services space on a search for a Senior Accountant. This role will operate as a Lead Senior on the team, playing a key role in mentoring and supporting Staff Accountants while partnering closely with leadership across accounting and finance.

Responsibilities
• Support the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis in accordance with GAAP
• Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide guidance and mentorship to support development
• Analyze financial results and identify trends, variances, and process improvements
• Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment and strong internal controls
• Assist with audit support, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of supporting schedules
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to help streamline accounting operations and reporting

Skills
• CPA required
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally from a top public accounting firm
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven collaborator and team player
• Desire or experience mentoring and managing team members
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
• Financial services industry preferred (insurance would be ideal)
