Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Spriggs Excavation, Inc. is a company dedicated to delivering high-impact civil construction projects. They are seeking a Project Engineer who will coordinate and execute projects across multiple states, ensuring alignment on schedule, scope, and budget while providing technical and field support.
Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Execution
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects aligned on schedule, scope, and budget
- Maintain master schedules and 3-week lookaheads
- Validate IFC plans, quantities, and assumptions; support contract true-ups
- Track and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders through completion
- Assist with procurement and material coordination
- Support One-Call updates and permitting for safe operations
- Technical & Field Support
- Manage GPS topos (pre-construction, progress, as-built)
- Compare models vs. field data to verify quantities and production
- Compile and interpret survey data for tracking and reporting
- Assist with layout, takeoffs, and field engineering support
- Maintain key project logs (RFIs, submittals, quantities, etc.)
- Support progress meetings (agendas, notes, follow-ups)
- Perform UAV/drone work (FAA Part 107 required or obtained within 6 months)
Skills
- 1–3 years of civil construction experience (internships considered)
- Strong understanding of plans, specs, and construction methods
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to travel full-time
- FAA Part 107 Drone License—or ability to obtain
- Experience with tools like Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Magnet/Topcon, or similar
