Position Overview

As a Pharmacist – Centralized Services at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and driving pharmacy financial performance through strategic program implementation. This remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while remaining deeply connected to patient care outcomes and clinical excellence.

You will serve as a knowledgeable resource and expert for other pharmacists and field leaders, fostering collaborative relationships with clinical communities in your assigned region. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Execute direct patient care programs including Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. Lead the implementation of various policies and operations to ensure business needs are being met while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. Ensure regional pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and advancement opportunities. Promote collaboration and inspire pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Medication Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Communication: Through utilization of superior interpersonal skills, win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Build lasting relationships with patients based on trust, empathy, and clinical excellence.
  • Client Retention Program: Provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations. Use patient feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Clinical Advisory: Be accountable for all inquiries, discussions, and advice which relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Observe guidelines and procedures for all job responsibilities to meet goals. Comply with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other work consistent with the job duties in this record as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications


  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must maintain active licensure throughout employment and meet all continuing education requirements.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members toward achieving common goals.
  • Confidentiality: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information. Must demonstrate strong ethical standards and commitment to patient privacy.
  • Flexibility: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required by business needs and patient care requirements.
  • Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of various tasks with varying completion dates. Must be able to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) as needed for training, meetings, and special projects.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Multi-State Licensure: Willingness to acquire additional state pharmacy licenses if required. Ability to obtain licensure in multiple states to support our expanding service areas.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance plans and pharmacy benefit management. Familiarity with various payer structures and reimbursement models.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computer operating systems including specialized pharmacy management systems (such as Rx, Champion, and Plus).
  • Microsoft Excel: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
  • Microsoft Word: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting shots, images and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).
