Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and clinically skilled Pharmacist to oversee the execution of medical service methodologies and drive patient wellbeing results from our remote centralized services hub. This position is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

As a Remote Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and driving pharmacy financial performance through strategic program implementation. You will serve as a clinical expert and resource to pharmacy specialists and field leaders, fostering strong relationships with clinical communities across assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of the arenaflex pharmacy services team, you will:


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Implement and oversee direct patient care programs, including Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will play a hands-on role in managing chronic conditions and ensuring patients receive comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Operations: Drive the execution of various policies and operations to ensure business needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. This includes developing and implementing strategies that align with both patient care goals and organizational objectives.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Lead compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. Ensure all regional pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Drive local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or wellness services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities while promoting collaboration and inspiring pharmacy staff through a shared vision aligned with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Medication Safety and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary action to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication therapy, providing individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Communication: Through superior interpersonal skills, earn the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Build lasting relationships based on trust, empathy, and clinical excellence.
  • Program Evaluation: Provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program, incorporating comments from patients as the value of individual consultations. Use this feedback to continuously improve our services.
  • Clinical Consultation: Handle all inquiries, discussions, and advice that relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Maintain current knowledge of Pharmacy industry developments and maintain required licensure throughout employment.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related pharmaceutical sciences field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. Must be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Oregon (Portland location).
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues effectively.
  • Confidentiality: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Availability: Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required by business needs.
  • Time Management: Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of various projects with varying completion dates.
  • Independent Work Style: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives, and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Travel Capability: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:


  • Willingness to acquire additional state pharmacy licenses as needed to support business operations.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in PC operating systems including RAD, COMMIT, and Plus systems.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, images and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).
