**Experienced Full Stack Data Scientist – Patient Safety Analytics and AI Development**

• *About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced full stack data scientist to join our Retail Pharmacy Examination team, reporting to the Director of Patient Safety and Pharmacy Tasks Investigation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our AI development to revolutionize the way CVS Pharmacy delivers solutions. You will lead, train, and develop a team of data scientists who will be responsible for maintaining current processes as well as driving innovative solutions to drive continuous quality improvement within our retail pharmacy units.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Lead the development of logical solutions and processes to help the allocation of controlled substances across 9700+ pharmacy locations
• Collaborate with business leaders and partners to inform strategy and development, prioritize analytical efforts, and define specific work plans and projects to execute across the retail pharmacy chain
• Influence innovation depth to engage with key leaders across the organization to identify new uses of AI in patient safety topics
• Input business requirements from various stakeholders, lead the analysis of large datasets, and orchestrate methodologies and strategies to solve complex problems
• Direct or facilitate proper testing of analytical solutions, including AI and machine learning, to ensure results are consistent with business requirements
• Create and present significant and insights-driven materials on analytical outcomes with recommendations and follow up to direct various audiences, including internal stakeholders and senior leadership

• *Required Capabilities**

• 6+ years of experience leading and inspiring high-performing teams, providing timely and occasional feedback to coordinate reports and hold them accountable for achieving quality outcomes
• Ability to think critically, including defining objectives, examining key factors, managing financial implications, assessing risk, and developing a plan to achieve success
• 8+ years of experience in the Product Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development, including providing business requirements focused on data and analysis
• Strong leadership abilities, key mindset, and experience driving highly technical teams focused on delivering data and analytical solutions in healthcare
• Strong organizational abilities, ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and consistently focus on key objectives
• Ability to engage with senior business partners, execute level communication, and influencing skills
• Profound experience in data modeling/exploration with SQL, Python, R, and other advanced analytical tools
• Highly energetic person to work in a very fast-paced environment both individually and with a team

• *Preferred Capabilities**

• Strong analytical and data skills, including strong training in statistics and data analysis, understanding of data management and visualization, ability to interpret results of AI models
• Related experience using and managing projects using Cloud (Azure, GCP, etc.) advancements
• Master-level programming skills in Python, R, TensorFlow, or other data science environments; strong
• data management and reporting skills, understanding of deploying AI models in real-time production conditions, including cloud (Azure, AWS), Flash-based systems, etc.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and participate in multiple projects and drives, and properly, focus on her/his own experience as well as that of the immediate reports, and
• adapt needs depending on the situation to fulfill time constraints
• Highest level of integrity while working within legal and compliance guidelines, primarily around HIPAA, patient safety work product, and attorney-client privilege while working with sensitive, confidential, and protected information

• *Education**

• Four-year degree required
• Postgraduate education studying Statistics, Computer Science, Science, or related STEM field also preferred

This position is eligible for a CVS Health reward, commission, or temporary incentive program in addition to the base compensation range of $70-$80/year. This position also includes an award focus in the organization's stock grant program.
