Position Overview

As a Pharmacist Centralized Services team member at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. You will drive pharmacy financial performance by implementing programs that maximize reimbursements while simultaneously improving patient health outcomes. This role involves processing prescriptions from a remote setting, fostering strong relationships with clinical communities, and serving as an expert resource and contact for the organization.

You will serve as an informed authority and resource to other pharmacists and field leaders, sharing your expertise and supporting the continuous improvement of our pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Execute direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. Drive the execution of various policies and operations to ensure business needs are being met while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Compliance and Quality Improvement: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Drive pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while never compromising on patient safety or care quality.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities. Promote collaboration and inspire pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Clinical Reviews and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication therapy. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Communication: Through use of superior interpersonal skills, win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Build lasting relationships based on trust, empathy, and clinical excellence.
  • Program Feedback: Provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of Client Retention Program, including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations. Use patient feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Clinical Advisory: Be responsible for all questions, discussions, and advice that relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Follow company policies and procedures including all HIPAA rules and guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy industry developments and maintain required licensure.

Essential Qualifications


  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must be licensed to practice pharmacy in at least one U.S. state and must be willing to obtain additional state licenses as required.
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy or related field from an accredited institution. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues. Must be able to approach challenges with creativity and determination.
  • Confidentiality: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information. Must demonstrate excellent judgment in handling protected health information (PHI) and other confidential data.
  • Flexibility: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends. This role may require some flexibility in scheduling to support our 24/7 pharmacy operations.
  • Time Management: Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details, and meeting deadlines of various projects with varying completion dates. Must be able to multitask effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Independence: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision. Must be self-motivated and able to complete objectives independently, knowing when to escalate issues to leadership.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. A passion for serving others is essential.
  • Travel Capability: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Occasional on-site training or team meetings may be required.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Willingness to acquire additional state pharmacy licenses if necessary. Multi-state licensure is highly valued and may qualify you for additional compensation.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance pharmacy benefits is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems including RAD, COM, and Plus pharmacy management systems.
  • Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding bullet points, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting shots, pictures and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).
