As a Remote Pharmacist with arenaflex, you will play a critical role in executing our medical service methodologies and driving patient wellbeing results. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and contributing to our overarching goal of improving health outcomes while driving pharmacy financial performance. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our centralized services team, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities designed to leverage your pharmaceutical expertise and drive exceptional patient outcomes:

Patient Care Program Execution



  • Implement direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects

  • Drive the execution of various policies and operations to ensure business needs are being met while maintaining the highest standards of patient care

  • Support efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services such as patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services including vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs

Compliance and Quality Assurance



  • Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations

  • Observe all guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet established goals while complying with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations

Financial Performance and Business Growth



  • Drive pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals

  • Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes

  • Contribute to the overall financial success of the organization through efficient prescription processing and optimization of pharmacy services

Clinical Review and Patient Safety



  • Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications

  • Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication therapy

  • Provide individualized patient/provider consultation based on comprehensive medication reviews

  • Responsible for all inquiries, discussions, and recommendations that relate directly to patient treatment

Professional Development and Leadership



  • Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership

  • Support staff training experiences and development opportunities

  • Promote collaboration and inspire pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to other pharmacists and field leaders

Community and External Relations



  • Foster strong relationships with clinical communities in assigned areas

  • Act as a representative and contact of the organization in professional settings

  • Provide clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed

What We're Looking For: Qualifications

Essential Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Current Pharmacist License: Must hold a valid pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy or related pharmaceutical sciences field
  • Experience: Proven track record inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues effectively
  • Confidentiality Skills: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism
  • Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends
  • Time Management: Strong experience utilizing time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of various projects with varying completion dates
  • Self-Motivation: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Travel Availability: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications


While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:



  • Willingness to acquire additional state pharmacy licenses if required

  • Knowledge of insurance plans and pharmacy benefit management

  • Knowledge of computer operating systems including Rxu, Commitment, and Plus

  • Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets)

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, modifying, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show)

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, pictures and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities)
