You will report directly to the Director of Data Science and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and executive leadership.

What You'll Do

As a Data Scientist, Analytics professional at arenaflex, you will serve as a trusted advisor to various stakeholders, helping them leverage data to make informed decisions. Your responsibilities will span multiple areas of the business, and you will be expected to maintain a client-focused approach while becoming a subject matter expert in your domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct comprehensive data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business growth. You will translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to guide them toward better decision-making using available data. Build strong relationships with partners across the organization to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
• Measurement Framework Development: Create analytical frameworks to measure team success by collaborating with stakeholders to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), develop tracking methodologies, and establish common languages for all partners to understand these metrics.
• Dashboard & Reporting: Design and maintain intuitive dashboards and reports that provide real-time business insights. Ensure that automated reporting tools and self-service analytics capabilities are accessible to all team members.
• Data Instrumentation: Lead efforts in data instrumentation, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection across all business functions. Identify gaps in data coverage and propose solutions to improve data quality.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Respond to time-sensitive business questions with rapid, yet thorough analysis. Balance the trade-offs between speed and accuracy based on business context and urgency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with technical and non-technical staff throughout the organization to complete data projects and ensure all parties can leverage insights to improve processes and outcomes.
• Process Optimization: Operationalize data processes to provide partners with ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools, democratizing access to business intelligence across the organization.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of domain experience in a consumer web business, or in a fast-paced, high-growth product or team environment. Experience working with large-scale datasets and understanding of consumer behavior is highly valued.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills are essential for this role, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Data Analysis Skills: Demonstrated experience using data to create insights and drive business results. Familiarity with time series analysis, A/B testing and experimentation, data visualization best practices, and defining KPI strategies for business units.
• Communication Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You must be comfortable translating data into compelling narratives.
• Collaborative Mindset: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to maintain productive relationships across multiple departments and functional areas.
