About the Role: Remote Member Services Representative
This position is a vital part of the Payments and Digital Strategy crew here at arenaflex. The Member Services Representative role is responsible for everyday functions related to checking processing, object processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at arenaflex Credit Union. You'll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence will make a real difference in the lives of the members we serve.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, you'll be entrusted with a variety of important responsibilities that keep our operations running smoothly. Here's what you can expect:
- Complete data entry and balancing functions with precision and accuracy, ensuring all financial records are properly maintained and reconciled
- Coordinate return items with members, doors vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing to maintain the integrity of our financial systems
- Work member cases/activities assigned through our internal tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and exceptional service delivery
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, analyze, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure proper functionality and compliance
- Log, analyze, and make important GL, account changes and/or returns as needed
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching with accuracy and attention to detail
- Complete everyday balancing and department closing to ensure all daily operations are properly finalized
- Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations
- Deposit check returns, report member returned items on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
- Complete everyday processing of workflows related to overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees
Security and Compliance: The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all accounts and associated information that are part of their work and for ensuring that their work is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. This is a critical aspect of the role, and adherence to security protocols is essential to protecting both our members and our organization.

Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school degree or GED (equivalent)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer/member service experience in a related industry
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Familiarity with Episys/Symitar systems and processing wires
