Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Executive Chef to lead their culinary direction for exclusive virtual dining experiences. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your own kitchen or a suitable professional space. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing unique culinary concepts that translate effectively to a remote delivery model. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in high-end catering or restaurant operations, exceptional menu development skills, and a creative flair for crafting memorable gastronomic journeys for a distributed audience. You will work closely with the event planning team to conceptualize menus, develop accompanying content (e.g., recipe cards, video tutorials), and ensure the highest quality of ingredients and preparation.
Responsibilities: Conceptualize, design, and execute innovative menus for virtual culinary events, focusing on quality, presentation, and ease of preparation by participants. Develop comprehensive recipes and detailed preparation guides suitable for a remote audience with varying skill levels. Source high-quality ingredients and collaborate with local delivery partners to ensure seamless ingredient provision to participants. Create engaging culinary content, including video demonstrations and written instructions, to enhance the virtual dining experience. Collaborate with event managers and marketing teams to align culinary offerings with event themes and client objectives. Maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene standards in all culinary development and material creation. Manage food costs and provide cost-effective menu solutions without compromising quality. Stay updated on global culinary trends, techniques, and emerging food technologies. Conduct virtual cooking demonstrations and Q&A sessions for event participants. Contribute to the overall strategy and growth of the virtual events division. Qualifications: Extensive experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in reputable restaurants, hotels, or high-volume catering operations. Proven expertise in menu development, food costing, and kitchen management. A strong understanding of diverse cuisines and dietary requirements. Excellent creativity and a passion for culinary arts. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a virtual audience. Experience in developing instructional culinary content (written, photographic, or video) is highly desirable. Proficiency with virtual communication and collaboration tools. Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience. Ability to work independently and manage projects from conception to completion in a remote setting.
