What You'll Do as an Independent Contractor

As an arenaflex Independent Contractor, you'll serve as a vital link between our clients and their customers. Your role involves providing virtual customer service through telephone interactions, helping people resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure positive experiences with the brands they trust.

Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Inbound Customer Calls: Respond professionally to incoming customer inquiries, listening carefully to understand their needs and providing accurate, helpful solutions in a timely manner.

  • Outbound Customer Outreach: Proactively contact customers as needed to follow up on previous interactions, conduct surveys, or provide requested information.

  • Creative Problem Solving: Think on your feet to address unique customer situations, finding innovative solutions that satisfy both the customer and the client's business objectives.

  • Needs Assessment: Quickly evaluate customer requirements and determine the most appropriate course of action to meet their needs effectively.

Skills and Competencies We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Qualifications:


  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1 year handling inbound and outbound customer service calls. This experience should demonstrate your ability to manage customer interactions professionally and effectively.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating multiple tabs, windows, and applications simultaneously. You'll be working with various software systems, so basic computer literacy is essential.

  • Typing Abilities: Basic typing skills to efficiently document customer interactions and maintain accurate records.

  • Empathy and Patience: The ability to empathize with frustrated or upset callers while remaining calm, patient, and professional throughout challenging interactions.

  • Reliable Technology: Access to a reliable computer (Windows-based, not Mac or Chromebook), high-speed internet connection, and a quiet, professional workspace.

To succeed as an arenaflex Independent Contractor, you'll need to meet our technology requirements. While we provide the platform and connection to clients, you'll be responsible for maintaining the following:


  • Computer System: A Windows-based desktop or laptop (our systems are not currently compatible with Mac or Chromebook)

  • Internet Connection: Reliable high-speed internet with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps

  • Headset: A quality headset with microphone for clear audio during calls

  • Workspace: A quiet, distraction-free environment suitable for professional customer interactions

  • Security: Some programs may require additional security measures, including specific software or equipment

Please note that clients may have additional technology requirements depending on the nature of their business and the data security standards they must maintain.

Schedule Flexibility and Availability

How Scheduling Works:


  • Self-Scheduling: Choose your own schedule by self-scheduling in 30-minute blocks through our intuitive platform

  • Your Rules: Decide when and how often you want to work – there's no minimum requirement, though more availability typically leads to greater earning potential

  • Client Availability: While client call availability varies, most calls are available daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Several clients offer 24/7 availability for those who prefer overnight or weekend shifts

  • Weekly Opportunities: We have a variety of programs starting every week, giving you plenty of options to find the perfect fit

This flexibility means you can work early mornings, late evenings, or anywhere in between – whatever works best for your lifestyle and commitments.

Earning Potential and Compensation

How You'll Get Paid:


  • Invoice-Based Payment: You'll submit invoices for completed services and receive payment directly for your work

  • Time-Based Compensation: Most programs pay for time spent talking on the phone and assisting callers

  • Performance Incentives: Many programs offer additional pay for excellent performance, customer satisfaction scores, and other achievements

  • Program Variety: Different programs have different pay structures, allowing you to choose opportunities that align with your earning goals

Important Note: As a self-employed 1099 Independent Contractor, you're responsible for your own tax obligations. Actual earnings may vary depending on opportunity, call type, call volume, and other factors. You'll control your own profit and loss and be responsible for any business expenses.
