The Closing Assistant role involves providing comprehensive administrative, operational, and customer service support to ensure accurate and timely preparation of closing documentation while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Supports the successful execution of real estate closings by providing comprehensive administrative, operational, and customer service support to the closing and escrow teams
- Ensures accurate and timely preparation, coordination and delivery of closing documentation while maintaining full compliance with company policies, lender requirements and applicable industry regulations
- Collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather required closing information and assists in coordinating the tasks necessary to facilitate a smooth, efficient and positive closing experience for buyers, sellers, agents and lenders
Skills
- High School diploma/GED required
- 1+ years of experience working in a title, escrow, mortgage or real estate environment
- Working knowledge of title commitments, title searches, closing disclosures, EMDs and standard closing documents
- Familiarity with lender requirements and escrow processes
- Solid skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and manage shifting priorities
- Client focused with strong execution skills and results orientation

- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and provide guidance for working groups
- Experience working with title production software preferred
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment preferred
