Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee and grow our RWE Clinical Trials business segment. This role offers a unique entrepreneurial experience for a candidate who has demonstrated success in winning new clients and understands the development of new treatments, clinical research, and health economics outcomes research (HEOR).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned accounts, driving client satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities within the RWE Clinical Trials space. This position requires a consultative, proactive approach to sales, targeting executives and decision-makers at existing and new client contacts. You will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful execution and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As an Account Manager at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a diverse set of responsibilities that are critical to our business success:

  • Business Development: Drive new business opportunities across the full spectrum of RWE Clinical Trials services, including patient enrollment, decentralized clinical trials (DCT), HEOR, epidemiological studies, and post-marketing studies.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Lead strategic and tactical account planning in partnership with scientific research delivery teams to develop comprehensive account strategies.
  • Sales Activities: Execute consultative, proactive sales activities targeting executives and decision-makers at both existing and prospective client organizations.
  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities, including defining solution requirements and recommending pricing structures aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Project Coordination: Act as the primary client contact until project kickoff (KO), then coordinate with relevant business units to ensure seamless execution and successful delivery.
  • Proposal Development: Lead and contribute to proposal responses, collaborating with the proposal team to deliver timely, compelling proposals to clients.
  • Bid Defense: Coordinate bid defense strategies, ensuring proposed offerings align with client objectives and competitive positioning.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive efforts to close new clinical trial business in alignment with sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Account Penetration: Identify opportunities within existing clients to expand account penetration and deepen relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Systems teams to create a client-focused, problem-solving environment that enhances arenaflex's market leadership in clinical trials.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes, both within state and out of state.

  • Sales Acumen: Proven ability to identify and develop prospects, create professional presentations, manage sales cycles through close, and handle contract negotiations.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with sales automation systems and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Collaboration Skills: Experience working with internal or external resources to develop strategies that meet departmental objectives within budget and established timelines.

  • Travel Capability: Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.
