About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team

At arenaflex, our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging team sits at the forefront of industrial innovation. We are responsible for driving future innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging technologies. Our portfolio includes industrial hardware and control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation systems, packing technologies, and advanced packaging materials.

We collaborate strategically with key stakeholders across the organization, including Operations, Reliability Maintenance and Engineering (RME), ACES (Architecture, Components, Engineering Standards), Supply Chain, Transportation, Worldwide Design Engineering (WWDE), and many others. Our mission is to deliver robust, cutting-edge products that seamlessly integrate into the arenaflex Fulfillment network – products that set new standards for efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

The Role: Quality Assurance Manager – Virtual Testing

We are seeking an outstanding Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Virtual Testing initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will develop virtual platforms that allow solutions to be thoroughly tested and verified through sophisticated simulations and emulations with a high degree of fidelity – using most of the real software – at full scale.

As our QA Virtual Testing Leader, you will serve as a critical bridge between multiple teams:

  • Product Teams: Drive high-quality product delivery through rigorous virtual validation

  • QA Manual Testing and Requirements Team: Synchronize virtual and physical testing workflows

  • Internal Customers: Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Process, OpsEngineering, and other teams to ensure new solutions meet their exacting requirements

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Manager – Virtual Testing at arenaflex, your responsibilities will be both comprehensive and impactful. You will oversee the development and execution of all virtual system test plans (simulations) to validate system-level requirements, meet customer deliverables, and ensure integrated system performance across all sub-components.

Simulation & Virtual Validation

  • Develop, implement, and manage sophisticated simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments to virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-world software

  • Create modeling and simulation capabilities for validation and verification in both static and dynamic test environments

  • Develop test automation within HIL environments using advanced test executors and automation engines that leverage actual automation software

  • Gather simulation environments from Product teams to early validate and stress-test end-to-end solutions

Quality Assurance & Standards

  • Virtually ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training and learning, deployment, process and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration, service, and support prior to delivery

  • Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products

  • Communicate quality standards and parameters to cross-functional product teams, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies

Issue Analysis & Resolution

  • Coordinate simulations and testing processes with precision and efficiency

  • Identify and analyze issues, bugs, defects, and other problems – particularly when problems recur in multiple products

  • Recommend and facilitate effective solutions to quality issues

  • Connect with internal customers to review client, customer, and user feedback

Testing Strategy & Innovation

  • Support the QA Manual Testing team in the validation of virtual models

  • Use simulations to quickly test multiple variables through Design-of-Experiment (DOE) methodologies

  • Ensure new solutions are ready for operation, maintenance, deployment, process integration, and service
