Allianz Commercial is a leading provider of insurance solutions for mid-sized businesses and large enterprises. They are seeking a Reinsurance Accountant who will be responsible for accounting, settlement, and credit control activities related to reinsurance, ensuring timely and accurate settlements while maintaining relationships with internal and external parties.
Responsibilities
- Collect assumed premium receivables and ceded loss recoverables in a timely manner
- Process reinsurance premium and claim payables to reinsurers in a timely manner
- Review assumed & ceded reinsurance premium and claim entries against agreement terms and supportive documents to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Work closely with clients to support premium and claim entries reflecting in our accounting system
- Investigate any variances and effectively communicate with respective parties for resolution
- Work collaboratively with other Functional areas (Operations, Accounting, Claims) and global Finance teams to enhance existing reinsurance processes
- Monitor credit control activities which drives collateral requirements for Schedule F and SON
- Support internal and external auditing requests to ensure effective controls are maintained and followed
Skills
- 1-3 years experience in basic knowledge of accounting and finance
- 1-3 years experience in basic knowledge of reinsurance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business degree
- External applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship
- Candidates selected for this role will be required to undergo a background check
