Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and strategic PR Specialist to design, execute, and continuously refine our public relations strategy. This role will play a critical part in shaping our brand narrative, increasing media visibility, and strengthening our reputation across key audiences. The ideal candidate is both a strong storyteller and a disciplined strategist who can translate business objectives into high-impact PR campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic PR Development
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with company goals and brand positioning
    • Identify key narratives, messaging frameworks, and thought leadership opportunities
    • Support product launches, company announcements, partnerships, and executive visibility
  • Media Relations
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers
    • Pitch stories, secure media coverage, and manage press inquiries
    • Create and maintain targeted media lists by industry, geography, and topic
  • Content & Messaging
    • Write and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQs, and bylined articlesEnsure consistent messaging across all PR and external communications
    • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine brand voice and positioning
  • Campaign Execution & Measurement
    • Plan and manage PR campaigns from concept to execution
    • Track coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and campaign performance
    • Prepare regular PR reports and insights with actionable recommendations
  • Reputation & Issues Management
    • Monitor media coverage and brand mentions
    • Support crisis communications planning and response when needed
    • Help proactively identify and mitigate reputational risks

Qualifications


Required

  • 3–6+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or related role
  • Proven track record of securing earned media coverage
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Strong understanding of media landscapes and PR best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred

  • Experience developing PR strategy for B2B, B2C, or tech-driven organizations
  • Existing media relationships in relevant industries
  • Familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater)
  • Experience supporting executive or thought leadership communications
