Senior AU Tax Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior AU Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on Australian taxation experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a solid grasp of Xero Tax and Xero Tax Manager. Experience in a people management or supervisory role is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns in compliance with Australian tax regulations.
• Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide tax advice.
• Utilize Xero Tax and Xero Tax Manager for tax preparation and workflow management.
• Provide support to junior accountants and collaborate with the wider team to meet deadlines.
• Stay up to date on the latest ATO changes and ensure compliance across all filings.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategic solutions to clients.
• Contribute to internal process improvement and documentation.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in Australian taxation, ideally within a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in Xero Tax and Xero Tax Manager is essential.
• Strong understanding of corporate and individual tax regulations in Australia.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience in a people management or team lead role is a plus.
