Safety National is a leading specialty insurance and reinsurance provider, and they are seeking a Product Owner I to support the delivery of collaboration and end-user computing platforms. In this entry-level role, the candidate will work closely with engineering and business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable backlog items, while gaining hands-on experience with various platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing collaboration and end-user computing platforms
  • Partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate technical and operational needs into clear, actionable backlog items
  • Help refine user stories, maintain a ready backlog, and participate in agile ceremonies
  • Balance competing priorities across production support, maintenance, and enhancements, while ensuring alignment to business objectives, user productivity, and platform stability
  • Operate with guidance while developing the ability to independently prioritize work, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across collaboration and infrastructure platforms

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related role
  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools and collaboration platforms
  • General understanding of cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office
  • Experience working in an Agile environment; familiarity with SAFe is a plus
  • Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), or Microsoft Intune
  • Experience supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, or user story development
  • Understanding of identity, access, and endpoint management concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
