As a Privacy Compliance Specialist, you will manage privacy incident investigations and compliance tasks, ensuring adherence to privacy laws and regulations while supporting internal and external communications.


Responsibilities

  • Managing the investigation, response, documentation, tracking, escalation, and analysis of privacy incidents
  • Resolving privacy incidents within mandated timeframes; ensuring actions taken are sound and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal business partners and technology groups; understanding their business and processes and providing analysis, support, and guidance for privacy incident management and related matters
  • Preparing both internal and external communications
  • Assisting with the maintenance of incident response playbooks, policies, documentation, and ensuring timely updates
  • Assisting with incident response dashboards and reporting
  • Developing knowledge and understanding of privacy laws and regulations
  • Complying with departmental and regulatory guidelines relating to timeliness, recordkeeping laws and regulations, documentation, and reporting
  • Promoting and enhancing organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management
  • Delivering on routine assignments while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of privacy
  • Supporting other privacy-related tasks, such as consumer rights requests, privacy impact assessments, and compliance with new privacy laws and regulations

Skills

  • 4 years/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 1-3+ years of relevant professional experience; background in compliance, privacy, or risk management preferred
  • No license or certification required; IAPP Foundations program completion or IAPP certification preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, including applying basic formulas and performing data analysis
  • Experience in preparing written materials, including drafting clear and accurate communications
