Position Overview
We are looking for an information-driven, conscientious Examination Chief to support our paid media investigation capability and surface data-driven strategic opportunities for the Chief Initiative team. In this role, you will focus on the optimization and streamlining of our paid media spend worldwide. You'll work closely with marketing teams to identify ways to improve the efficiencies of our paid media investments, develop comprehensive reporting and analyses to frame and drive decisions, and establish KPIs and scorecards to track progress and performance.
As a key contributor to our analytics function, you will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making by creating and communicating custom reporting and analyses that directly inform our paid media strategy. This is a high-impact position where your insights will directly influence multi-million dollar marketing decisions and help shape the direction of our global advertising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Reporting and Insights: Create and communicate comprehensive reporting and insights in the space of paid media, ensuring stakeholders have access to timely and accurate data that drives informed decision-making.
- Lead Analysis Development: Plan and build/lead the development of analysis, business intelligence, and data science predictions with the goal of enhancing discernible paid media and improving marketing efficiencies across all channels.
- Collaborate with Data Science Teams: Work with paid media data science groups and marketing teams on implementing sophisticated media mix models that optimize our advertising spend allocation.
- Conduct Ad-Hoc Investigations: Perform special investigation through database querying, followed by rapid interpretation of results and the reporting and communication of recommendations that drive immediate action.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Function as a trusted partner with marketing, finance, and data product teams to tackle complex business challenges and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach.
- Technical Reporting: Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, QuickSight, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports that meet evolving business needs.
- Identify Business Issues: Analyze data to identify business issues and conduct deep dives to perform root cause analysis, uncovering the "why" behind performance trends.
- Data Utilization: Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data from internal sources (Discernible and arenaflex systems) as well as external data from market research and marketing agencies to address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights.
- Generate Consumer Insights: Conceptualize and run analysis that generates insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our offerings.
Essential Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analysis, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field is essential for success in this role.
- Advanced SQL Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL is required to effectively query and manipulate large datasets for analysis.
- Visualization Expertise: Advanced experience with at least one industry analysis and statistics visualization tool such as Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI.
- Excel Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a proven track record of creating complex models and analyses.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in data science, business, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or another related field.

- Programming Knowledge: Working knowledge of Python is highly desirable.
- Additional Technical Skills: Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or C#, or statistical programming languages like R or SAS is a plus.
- Analytics Platforms: Knowledge of Adobe Analytics is advantageous.
