Morrison Mahoney LLP is a premier litigation law firm in the Northeast, seeking a Full Time Associate Attorney specializing in civil litigation. The role involves managing a caseload, drafting legal documents, and collaborating with clients and colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda
- Provide clients with updates and interim status reports on their cases
Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar
- At least one (1) year of prior civil litigation experience
- Experience in both Massachusetts state and federal courts
- Strong advocacy skills
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions
- Ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests
- Experience in taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
