Position Overview

As a Remote Pharmacist - Centralized Services Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in executing our medical services procedures and driving patient wellness results. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and executing against established pharmacy initiatives. This role involves prescription processing from a remote setting, fostering strong relationships with clinical communities, and serving as an expert resource for other pharmacists and field leaders.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our centralized pharmacy services team, you will be responsible for:


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Implementing and managing direct patient care programs, including Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will drive the execution of various marketing strategies and initiatives to ensure business needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Compliance and Quality Improvement: Driving compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by researching, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. You will ensure that our pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Driving regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. You will implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Supporting efforts to enhance patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as vaccinations, disease state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Training and Support: Providing expertise, resources, training, and support to pharmacists and field management. You will support staff training experiences and development opportunities while promoting teamwork and motivating pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Clinical Reviews: Conducting data and clinical reviews and taking appropriate action to ensure accuracy and propriety of medications. You will review drug accounts and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication treatment and provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Relations: Using superior interpersonal skills to win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. You will provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program, including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations.
  • Clinical Consultation: Handling all inquiries, transactions, and issues that relate directly to patient treatment. You will provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet objectives. Complying with company policies and procedures, including all HIPAA regulations and guidelines. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
  • Additional Duties: Performing other work consistent with the job responsibilities in this record as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:


  • Pharmacy License: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must maintain current knowledge of pharmacy industry developments and maintain required licensure throughout your employment.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading teams to research and resolve issues effectively. You should have a proven track record of guiding colleagues through complex problem-solving processes.
  • Confidentiality: Experience working with confidential information and maintaining strict patient privacy standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Flexibility: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required by business needs.
  • Time Management: Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/coordinating and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
  • Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives, and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out:


  • Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if required for expanded coverage.

  • Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures.

  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus platforms.

  • Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a line, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, resizing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, repair, spell check, track changes, review changes and/or print capabilities).

  • Experience with specialty pharmacy services and disease state management programs.

  • Previous experience in a remote or centralized pharmacy services role.
