Intellectual Property Junior Associate (Technology Transactions) – Chicago

Faegre Drinker is seeking a junior associate to join their IP Technology Transactions practice in Chicago. The role involves contract drafting and negotiation, and the ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Up to one year of experience in contract drafting and negotiation, which may include internships, externships, or in-house roles during law school
• Work experience (including internships) in technology, social media/ecommerce, consulting, financial services or life sciences is a plus
• Admission to the Minnesota or Illinois bar, eligibility to waive in, or commitment to obtain admission promptly after hire

Skills

• Up to one year of experience in contract drafting and negotiation, which may include internships, externships, or in-house roles during law school
• JD from an accredited law school, or current 3L expected to graduate this academic year
• Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Admission to the Minnesota or Illinois bar, eligibility to waive in, or commitment to obtain admission promptly after hire
• Work experience (including internships) in technology, social media/ecommerce, consulting, financial services or life sciences is a plus
