This position is a vital member of the Compliance Group within our People/HR Division. You'll be responsible for maintaining legal and regulatory compliance by investigating and communicating requirements across the organization. This role offers exposure to multiple facets of airline operations while developing your expertise in compliance, data analysis, and federal background check processes.
What You'll Do
As an HR Compliance Analyst at arenaflex, your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. Here's what you can expect in this role:
- Support the HR Compliance Team: You'll be responsible for maintaining legal and regulatory compliance by investigating requirements and communicating them effectively across the organization. This includes managing fingerprint and background investigation processes and processing fingerprint clearance letters.
- Federal Fingerprint Processing: Process daily FBI fingerprints into the Access database and investigate any database issues that may arise. You'll ensure accuracy and completeness in all fingerprint submissions to the TSA Clearinghouse.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR Compliance data between various files, working closely with HRIS and EC systems. You'll conduct advanced investigations, create custom reports and dashboards, and normalize all data used for HR Compliance purposes.
- External Agency Coordination: Maintain relationships with TSA, Airport Authority Boards, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal Services. This includes faxing and scanning US Customs results and ensuring all required documentation is processed timely and accurately.
- Quality Assurance: Review completed Fingerprint Applications for accuracy and retransmit fingerprints to the TSA Clearinghouse as needed. You'll ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and team members regularly to address compliance questions, provide guidance on federal requirements, and ensure seamless coordination between departments.
- Policy Implementation: Conduct fair and consistent application of company policies and government requirements. You'll also educate specialty units on government requirements, internal and external processes, and outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Experience: Previous professional experience in HR, compliance, or related field is preferred
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like organizing data, creating complex formulas, and VLOOKUP operations
- Database Skills: Advanced Microsoft Access abilities for database management and data manipulation
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to interpret large sets of data to develop meaningful reports and insights
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams and external agencies
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
- Multi-tasking: Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- Problem-Solving: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to address database issues and compliance challenges
Preferred Skills & Certifications

- Knowledge of Criminal History Records Check (CHRC): Familiarity with CHRC applications and procedures
- TSA Clearinghouse Expertise: Exposure to the TSA Clearinghouse database and understanding of its processes
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of federal requirements related to aviation security and employee background checks
- Team Player: Ability to function well in a collaborative team environment
- Training Abilities: Capacity to educate specialty units on government requirements and internal processes
