Arm is seeking a Graduate Design Tooling Engineer to join their System IP team. The role involves developing innovative design methodologies and collaborating with various teams to enhance design efficiency and automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom solutions to render RTL that aligns with our architecture requirements
- Implement new methodologies and tooling alongside industry standard EDA and design tools
- Create innovative solutions to drive efficiency, automation and flexibility for our design team
Skills
- Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree or equivalent experience by August 2026. This can be a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have meaningful experience
- Knowledge of hardware design and design principles
- Deep interest in computer architecture as demonstrated by academic or research projects
- Understanding of modern EDA tools and logic design fundamentals
- Demonstrated skills in quality coding, scripting, software development
- Proficient with scripting languages like Python, Perl, Ruby, etc. and competence with Unix/Linux, shells, and Makefiles
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as AMBA CHI or equivalent
- Coursework/project experience in complex VLSI design through PPA optimization cycle for multiple design cycles
- Knowledge of topics including transaction ordering, virtualization, MMUs, cache coherence
- Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills
