Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Front-End Processor / Loan Structuring / Pre-Approval Specialist.
This is not a traditional processor role.
You will take a pre-qualified borrower and turn them into a fully structured, underwrite-ready file BEFORE they go under contract.
- Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing borrower income, assets, and credit in detail
- Structuring loan files (FHA, VA, Conventional) for strong approvals
- Running and interpreting DU / LPA findings
- Identifying and resolving potential underwriting issues upfront
- Issuing fully vetted pre-approvals (not surface-level approvals)
- Communicating directly with clients to request and clarify documentation
- Preparing files for a smooth transition into underwriting once under contract
- Collaborating with Mortgage Advisors to ensure speed, accuracy, and a strong client experience
You will play a key role in ensuring our loans move through underwriting cleanly and close successfully.
- Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage processing, loan structuring, LOA, or underwriting
- Strong proficiency in handling loan documents and full loan file review
- Experience with DU / LPA and understanding of underwriting guidelines
- Strong knowledge of:
- Income calculation (W2, self-employed, variable income)
- Credit analysis
- FHA, VA, and Conventional loan programs
- Ability to identify potential issues before underwriting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (client-facing role)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines and compliance standards
- Compensation
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonuses tied to:
- Closed loans
- File quality
- Speed to approval
Top performers have the opportunity to earn $70,000 – $90,000+ total compensation.
