Position Overview
As a Third-Party Marketplace Account Manager at arenaflex, you will be chartered with acquiring, developing, and managing high-value seller accounts that expand our product selection, improve pricing competitiveness, and enhance customer convenience. You will play a critical role in identifying product selection gaps and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies to attract key marketplace players to join our platform.
Your primary focus will be on growing our third-party seller ecosystem in the USA market, ensuring that we continue to offer the widest selection of products at competitive prices while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on sales execution, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral part of our marketplace growth team, you will be responsible for:
- Market Intelligence & Analysis: Developing a thorough understanding of the marketplace segment, including seasonality, global market developments, and ongoing activities. You will continuously monitor competitor efforts and identify emerging trends that present opportunities for our platform.
- Seller Acquisition: Identifying, prospecting, and acquiring high-potential sellers to join our platform through direct sales visits, industry events, and compelling presentations. You will be the primary point of contact for new seller relationships.
- Seller Enablement & Success: Guiding sellers through the onboarding process by sharing best practices of online selling, including data-driven insights that help sellers achieve high standards of delivery, customer experience, and business objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Researching product selection gaps and executing GTM strategies to attract key marketplace players. You will work to maximize our product selection breadth and grow our customer base through strategic partnerships.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve vendor issues, ensuring smooth operations and strong relationships.
- Performance Optimization: Using analytical tools and data insights to drive seller performance, optimize product listings, and improve overall marketplace health.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is required. Degrees in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields are preferred.
- Sales Experience: 1 to 3 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the ecommerce, technology, retail, or FMCG industries. A track record of exceeding sales targets is essential.
- Consultative Selling Skills: Demonstrated success in exceeding income objectives using a consultative and solutions-focused approach. You should be able to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Market Launch Experience: Experience promoting nascent products or services into new markets is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable with the challenges and opportunities that come with launching in new territories.
- Communication & Presentation: Advanced communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office programs. You should be comfortable analyzing data and creating compelling reports.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and remain enthusiastic about success and winning. You must be comfortable with change and rapid shifts in priorities.
- Business Acumen: Remarkable business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills. You should be able to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical abilities and quantitative skills. You must be comfortable working with complex data sets and drawing actionable insights.
- Financial Literacy: At ease with complex financial data, including pricing models, revenue calculations, and profitability analysis.
- Negotiation & Influence: Polished communication skills in speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating. You should be able to build consensus and drive agreements.
- Multi-tasking & Time Management: Ability to think and lead in a high-energy, rapid-paced environment. You must be comfortable with hands-on management of responsibilities and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
- 2+ years of ecommerce experience is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in the consumer electronics sector is a plus
- 3+ years of direct sales experience is a plus
- Familiarity with marketplace platforms and seller ecosystems
- Experience working with international teams or markets
- Knowledge of Latin American ecommerce landscape
