Position Overview

As the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across the organization. You will report to the Director of Business Insight and work closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys diving deep into datasets to find answers to complex questions, has a keen eye for detail, and can effectively communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You'll be instrumental in building robust data infrastructure, developing compelling visualizations, and ensuring data quality and integrity throughout our analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Integration

• Identify and extract data from various internal and external sources, consolidating information into comprehensive reports and datasets


• Design and implement efficient data pipelines that streamline information flow between different business units


• Transform raw data into structured, analysis-ready formats using SQL and other data manipulation tools


• Maintain documentation of data sources, extraction processes, and data dictionaries for team reference

Data Visualization & Reporting

• Develop intuitive and visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders


• Create presentations and deliverables that translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations


• Ensure accuracy and clarity in all data presentations, enabling informed decision-making at various organizational levels


• Build self-service reporting tools that empower business users to access and analyze data independently


• Continuously improve existing reports based on user feedback and evolving business requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis processes


• Provide expertise and guidance on data-related projects and initiatives across the organization


• Act as a bridge between technical data teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity


• Participate in regular syncs with product, marketing, and sales teams to understand evolving data needs


• Contribute to strategic planning sessions with data-driven insights and recommendations

Data Quality Assurance & Integrity

• Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting


• Proactively identify potential issues and anomalies in datasets, recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks


• Establish data validation rules and monitoring systems to ensure ongoing data quality


• Conduct regular audits of data pipelines and reporting systems to identify improvement opportunities


• Document data quality issues and resolution processes for continuous improvement

Advanced Analytics & Insights

• Conduct descriptive and diagnostic analytics to understand business performance and identify trends


• Support predictive and prescriptive analytics initiatives in collaboration with Data Science teams


• Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and support strategic initiatives


• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with business objectives

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL with Big Query or similar relational database platforms


• Minimum 4 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms


• Minimum 4 years of experience conducting data analysis and deriving actionable insights from complex datasets


• Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint


• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics) OR High School Diploma with 4 years of equivalent professional experience


• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems


• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy


• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding and hands-on experience working with digital media technology stacks


• Experience with DMPs (Data Management Platforms), DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), SSPs (Supply-Side Platforms)


• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform or Adobe Marketing Cloud


• Experience in retail media, e-commerce, or digital advertising industries


• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis


• Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes


• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams


• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across multiple business functions
