Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Primary Care Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing team at arenaflex retail health clinics. This is an exciting opportunity to practice at the top of your clinical license, providing comprehensive family healthcare services to patients in your community. You'll have the autonomy to run your practice with the full support of our clinical care team, collaborative colleagues, and organizational resources.
This full-time position offers competitive compensation ranging from $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. You'll work in a modern clinic environment equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology, and you'll have access to evidence-based clinical guidelines and treatment planning resources that support continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Primary Care Provider at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Patient Care: Provide holistic, evidence-based primary care including thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Deliver health counseling and anticipate care planning for patients across the lifespan.
- Wellness & Prevention: Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare journey through health screenings, social health initiatives, wellness programs, and chronic condition management. Promote healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies.
- Patient Education: Offer comprehensive education on various health topics including pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices. Provide patient and parent vaccine guidance and education based on current evidence-based recommendations.
- Vaccinations & Injections: Administer vaccines and injections, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, tuberculosis, and Depo-Provera. Ensure proper documentation and patient education accompanies all administered immunizations.
- Diagnostic Services: Perform diagnostic tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Interpret results and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical care team.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive plans of care. Ensure proper referral processes are followed and patient records are accurately maintained.
- Administrative Duties: Manage clinic operations including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, patient flow optimization, insurance verification, and payment collection. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional clinic environment.
- Patient Scheduling & Routing: Handle patient appointments efficiently and perform routing evaluations to ensure positive patient health outcomes and timely access to care.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Graduate of a master's degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role; OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related master's degree with comparable experience) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of two years of clinically relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including proficiency in performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Specialized Training: Ability to complete the Spot certification test within 30 days of employment.
- Respiratory Protection: Must be able to pass a FIT test and wear provided respirator covering when protocol requires.
- Language Skills: Depending on market requirements, ability to proficiently communicate in both spoken and written additional languages (Spanish preferred, though not limited to Spanish).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred and may enhance your candidacy:
- Previous student precepting experience with arenaflex or similar retail health clinic setting (preferred for candidates with less than 1 year of licensed provider experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in chronic disease management and preventive care.
- Experience with electronic health record systems and patient charting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
- Background in fast-paced clinical environments with high patient volume.
