Position Overview: Pharmacist – Centralized Services

As a Pharmacist working within arenaflex's Centralized Services division, you will play a critical role in executing patient intervention pharmacy programs and ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services. This position is designed for pharmacists who are passionate about clinical excellence, quality improvement, and making a tangible difference in patients' lives.

You will be responsible for driving pharmacy financial performance by implementing programs that maximize reimbursements while simultaneously improving patient health outcomes. Your expertise will be crucial in processing prescriptions from a remote setting, fostering strong relationships with clinical communities, and serving as an expert resource for pharmacy teams and field leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Pharmacist – Centralized Services at arenaflex will include:


  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Implementing and overseeing direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will ensure these programs are executed effectively to meet business objectives and patient needs.
  • Policy Execution & Business Alignment: Driving the execution of various policies and operations to ensure business needs are being met. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align pharmacy operations with organizational goals and financial objectives.
  • Compliance & Quality Improvement: Leading compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services. This involves studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes to enhance quality and safety.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring that all regional pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA regulations. You will serve as a subject matter expert on pharmacy law and regulations.
  • Financial Performance: Driving local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implementing and executing patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while maintaining exceptional clinical standards.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Supporting efforts to improve patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or wellness services such as vaccinations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Support & Development: Providing expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Supporting staff training experiences and development opportunities while promoting collaboration and inspiring pharmacy staff through a shared vision aligned with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Clinical Reviews & Medication Safety: Conducting data and clinical reviews and taking appropriate action to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications. Reviewing drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication therapy while providing individualized patient and provider consultation.
  • Patient Communication: Utilizing superior interpersonal skills to earn the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy-related issues. Building lasting relationships based on trust, empathy, and clinical expertise.
  • Program Evaluation: Providing feedback regarding the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program, incorporating comments from patients about the value of individual consultations and overall care experience.
  • Clinical Consultation: Acting as the primary contact for all inquiries, discussions, and issues relating directly to patient treatment. Providing clinical advice and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions and clinical activities. Observing guidelines and procedures for all job responsibilities to meet objectives, complying with company policies and procedures including all HIPAA regulations.
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy industry developments and required licensure.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:


  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. You must be eligible to maintain licensure throughout your employment.
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience inspiring colleagues to research and resolve issues effectively. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive positive outcomes.
  • Confidentiality: Experience working with sensitive and confidential information, with a strong commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
  • Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required by business needs.
  • Time Management: Experience utilizing time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines for various projects with varying completion dates.
  • Self-Direction: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within state and out of state.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:


  • Willingness to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses if required to support business operations.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance plans and reimbursement models.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy operating systems including Rx, Compounding, and Beyond.
  • Microsoft Excel: Basic proficiency (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Basic proficiency (for example: inserting, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list items, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slideshow).
  • Microsoft Word: Basic proficiency (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting shots, images and dates, using find and replace, repair, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print capabilities).
