Position Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our team in a part-time remote capacity. This position is responsible for executing medical services procedures and driving patient health results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. You will be responsible for implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring compliance with clinical pharmacy services, and driving pharmacy financial performance through strategic initiatives.

As a remote pharmacist with arenaflex, you will serve as a trusted resource for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance plans. You will handle prescription processing from a remote setting, conduct clinical reviews, and provide expert consultation on medication therapy management. This role offers flexibility in scheduling while maintaining the high standards of care that arenaflex is known for.

Key Responsibilities

As a pharmacist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that contribute to our mission of providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Patient Care Programs: Implement direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects. You will drive the execution of multiple business strategies and initiatives to ensure business needs are being met while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by analyzing, evaluating, and redesigning processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing necessary changes. Ensure that all pharmacies in your assigned region comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines.
  • Financial Performance: Drive regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies with company financial goals. Implement and execute patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services such as inoculations, illness state management, and Specialty programs.
  • Team Support and Development: Provide expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Support staff training experiences and development opportunities. Promote teamwork and drive pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Clinical Reviews and Accuracy: Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and propriety of medications. Review drug histories and patient profiles to ensure appropriate and safe medication therapy. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation.
  • Patient Relationship Building: Through use of superior interpersonal skills, win the trust of patients by listening to their concerns and providing a sounding board for pharmacy concerns. Build lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and quality care.
  • Program Feedback and Evaluation: Provide feedback concerning the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program, including comments from patients as the value of individual consultations. Use this feedback to continuously improve our services.
  • Clinical Consultation: Be responsible for all inquiries, transactions, and issues which relate directly to patient treatment. Provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to guidelines and procedures for all job duties to meet goals. Comply with company policies and procedures, including all HIPAA rules and regulations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other work consistent with the job responsibilities in this document as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy or related field is required.
  • Licensure: Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority. Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary.
  • Experience: Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues. Experience working with confidential information.
  • Work Schedule: Able to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 8 hours per day.
  • Time Management: Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
  • Self-Directed: Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Customer Service: Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:


  • Multi-State Licensure: Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if required.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance plans and billing procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of PC operating systems including Radio, Commitment, and Plus.
  • Microsoft Excel: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, adjusting text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: embedding, editing, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view and/or running a slide show).
  • Microsoft Word: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and adjusting text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet and/or print capabilities).
