Position Overview: IT Service Engineer

We're looking to grow our Distribution Center IT team by welcoming a skilled individual who desires exposure to our comprehensive desktop computing tech stack and complex technical warehouse systems. As an IT Service Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be at the forefront of our operational technology, supporting the critical infrastructure that keeps our fulfillment centers running smoothly. What You'll Do

As an integral part of our Technology Services organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the technological infrastructure that supports our warehouse operations. Your daily responsibilities will span multiple domains, requiring both technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Here's what you can expect in this role:


  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Establish strong relationships with our Warehouse Operations team by spending time on the warehouse floor to understand their workflows, challenges, and technological needs. This hands-on experience will enable you to provide more effective and tailored technical support.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve a wide variety of technical issues ranging from Windows server administration, network connectivity problems, and warehouse equipment malfunctions. You'll be the first line of defense in keeping our operations running without interruption.

  • Ticket Management: Prioritize and manage tickets on ServiceNow to ensure both local and remote end-users receive timely updates and resolutions. Your organizational skills will be key to maintaining our service level agreements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional engineering and business teams to resolve high-impact incidents. You'll provide quality and accurate information while working under pressure to restore services quickly.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing our support processes, reducing incident recurrence, and increasing overall operational efficiency.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify recurring technical issues and implement permanent solutions to improve business productivity through standardized operating procedures. You'll help create documentation that prevents future occurrences.

  • Process Maintenance: Maintain approaches, procedures, and processes to ensure consistency and quality in our service delivery. Your attention to detail will help standardize best practices across the organization.

  • Ownership Mindset: Demonstrate accountability and ownership by using a strong work ethic to tackle complex problems from beginning to end. You'll see issues through to successful resolution.

  • Data-Driven Problem Solving: Conduct thorough research by asking clarifying questions, gathering relevant data, and resolving issues using an analytical, data-driven approach.

  • Project Leadership: Manage or lead technical projects that impact the local site, gaining valuable experience in project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.

  • Team Collaboration: Be a collaborative team member who helps others achieve overall team goals. Your positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues will contribute to our team culture.

  • Flexibility in Support: Provide support to 24/7 fulfillment centers and participate in rotational or on-call shifts as needed. We operate around the clock, and your flexibility ensures we maintain continuous support.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of educational background, technical skills, and personal attributes that enable you to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. While we value formal education, we also recognize the importance of practical experience and continuous learning.

Education & Certifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred

  • Equivalent work experience will also be considered

  • Industry certifications such as A+, Network+, or other IT standards are highly desirable

Required Experience


  • 2+ years of IT support experience, ideally working in a warehouse or distribution center environment

  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Windows Server and Active Directory issues, including Group Policy and User profiles

  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, VoIP, VPN, and Cisco/Aruba networking device issues

  • 2+ years of experience deploying software imaging using SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)

  • Proven experience troubleshooting warehouse device equipment, including RF barcode scanners, label printers, desktop PCs, and various peripherals

Technical Skills


  • Strong experience with technical documentation and implementing portable troubleshooting to management

  • Programming skills, specifically with PowerShell, VBScript, and/or PHP, are a significant plus

  • Experience with email, FTP, and HTTP troubleshooting is desirable

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
