What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex Streaming, you'll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and impactful problems in the streaming industry. Your work will directly influence how we acquire, retain, and delight subscribers. Here's what you can expect:

• Build Predictive Models: Support our streaming business with AI and statistical modeling focused on understanding and predicting subscriber behavior. You'll tackle critical questions around churn prediction, upgrade/downgrade patterns, price sensitivity, customer segmentation, survival analysis, trial design and analysis, and causal inference.


• Innovate with AI Solutions: Develop and implement innovative AI strategies to address key business questions while identifying new areas to explore. You'll have the freedom to experiment with novel approaches and bring fresh perspectives to complex problems.


• Drive Experimentation: Lead experimentation efforts to evaluate the impacts of your models and recommendations. You'll design A/B tests, analyze results, and iterate on your approaches to continuously improve performance.


• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with colleagues across the organization to identify opportunities and drive value. You'll work collaboratively with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data architecture.


• Present to Leadership: Present your proposals and findings to senior executives. You'll need to translate complex technical work into clear, actionable recommendations that influence strategic decisions.


• Mentor and Guide: Share your expertise with junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of our data science community.

Required Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Physics, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.


• Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating practical machine learning solutions.


• Programming Expertise: Strong coding experience in Python and/or R, with additional experience in scientific libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, or equivalent tools.


• Machine Learning Skills: Proficient in analyzing data and developing ML models using Python with frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and similar technologies.


• Statistical Foundation: Strong background in statistical modeling including regression, clustering, time series forecasting, causal inference, and various other techniques.


• Problem-Solving Abilities: Experience developing scalable mathematical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be understood by non-technical colleagues.


• Insight Generation: Ability to derive insights and conclusions from data to advise model development and business decisions.


• Team Player: Strong desire to partner with other data scientists, data analysts, and key stakeholders.


• Technical Skills: Good understanding of SQL and database querying.
