What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As an IT Business Analyst for our IT Offices Group, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that keep our infrastructure running at peak performance. Here's what you can expect in this role:
- IT Administration and Support: Provide expert IT administration of professional services, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of critical infrastructure supporting our communication spaces.
- Data Center Management: Oversee all site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, accompanying, preventive maintenance strategies, and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical climate equipment.
- IT Labs Support: Provide IT support for labs to align our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications effectively.
- Remote Coordination: Coordinate remotely with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment.
- Standards Development: Develop data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure.
- Network Support: Support IT Offices grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring.
- Policy and Compliance: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures while ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Manage projects for data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, getting the best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors meet their contractual obligations.
- Capital Forecasting: Perform capital forecasting and project management for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement.
- Corporate Real Estate Support: Support Corporate Real Estate projects that involve remote communication room design/work as an IT Offices representative and on-site assessment reporting.
- Capacity Management: Manage space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity to ensure optimal performance.
- Infrastructure Design: Oversee the design, implementation, and vendor support of the electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
- Support Services: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alarm/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
- Standards Creation: Develop Design Standards for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, HVAC, Generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems.
- Incident Management: Provide remote incident management resolution for airport critical equipment.
- Installation Support: Provide remote installation, configuration, and operational assistance as needed.
- Change Control: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities to ensure system integrity.

- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

- Project Management: Experience managing remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Capital Planning: Capital forecasting and project management experience for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement.
- Space and Power Management: Experience with space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management.
- Vendor Selection: Ability to select critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation and best pricing while ensuring vendor contractual compliance.
- Infrastructure Design: Experience overseeing the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
- Operational Support: Ability to provide proactive and break-fix support for facilities-related issues.
- Standards Development: Capability to develop Design Standards for remote communication room infrastructure.
- Incident Management: Experience providing remote incident management resolution.
- Change Management: Strong adherence to change control activities.
- Multi-tasking Skills: Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints.
