Position Overview: Inbound Customer Service Representative

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional support via phone and ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression.

This is a full-time position offering a hybrid work model that provides the perfect balance between collaborative in-office work and the flexibility of remote arrangements. You'll be part of a supportive team reporting to a dedicated Supervisor, Customer Experience, who will guide you through your professional journey with arenaflex.

Location: Our training and primary work location is situated at 827 Fisher Drive, Waterloo, IA 50701. After successful completion of our comprehensive training program, eligible team members will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.

Compensation and Earnings Potential

At arenaflex, we value our team members and believe in rewarding hard work and dedication. The starting pay for this position is $15.80 per hour, and we are committed to supporting your financial growth. As part of our commitment to your success, you'll receive three automatic raises within your first 12 months of employment, bringing your hourly rate to $17.00 per hour within just one year.

This competitive compensation package reflects our recognition of the importance of your role in delivering outstanding customer experiences. Additionally, as you progress in your career and demonstrate proficiency, you'll have opportunities to participate in bidding processes for alternate work shifts, providing even more flexibility and earning potential.

Work Schedule and Flexibility

We understand the importance of work-life balance, and our scheduling reflects this commitment. The standard work hours for this position are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday. This weekday schedule means you'll enjoy your weekends free to pursue personal interests, spend time with family, or simply relax.

One of the standout features of this role is the hybrid work arrangement. After successfully completing our 8-week onsite training academy, team members who meet our work-from-home requirements will transition to a hybrid schedule. This typically means three days onsite and two days working from home each week. You'll have the flexibility to choose which days you prefer to work from home, and this preference can be adjusted weekly based on your needs.

For those who demonstrate strong performance and meet additional criteria, there's even more flexibility available. You can earn the opportunity to work from home up to five days per week, providing maximum autonomy over your work environment while continuing to deliver excellent results.

Key Responsibilities

As an Inbound Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional service to our customers. Here's what you can expect in this role:


  • Customer Relationship Building: Respond to a high volume of inbound phone calls from customers seeking support, information, and assistance. Build rapport and establish trust with each caller to create positive, lasting relationships.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with customers and Sales team members daily in a collaborative, team-based environment. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure seamless service and accurate issue resolution.

  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize computer systems and multiple software programs throughout your workday. This role requires periods of sitting for up to 8 hours per day while effectively navigating various applications and databases.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer challenges by leveraging all available resources. This includes account selection, product identification, order placement, and comprehensive order management.

  • Financial Transactions: Handle pricing and invoicing discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail. Apply appropriate credits and implement return procedures when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and resolutions in our systems for quality assurance and future reference.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Experience: At least one year of previous customer service experience is required. This could include retail, call center, hospitality, or other service-oriented roles.
  • Commute Capability: Ability to reliably commute to our facility from your home on a regular basis, especially during the training period and hybrid work schedule.
  • Home Workspace: A secure, dedicated workspace at home that is free from distractions and appropriate for professional work activities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously. Comfortable using various software applications and switching between different systems efficiently.
  • Internet Requirements: Stable internet connection with documented proof of speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds to ensure reliable remote work performance.
