As a leading innovator in the entertainment and media industry, we're constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We're seeking an exceptional HR Business Partner to join our team in Los Angeles or New York City, where you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization.
- *About arenaflex**
arenaflex is a global tech leader that powers the innovative backbone and product development for Disney's premium real-time features, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and other industry-leading products that showcase Disney's unparalleled content and characters across our brands and platforms. Our Trade, Development, and Personality association drives the product and tech ecosystem for payments, packaging, tiering, and other business and development stages across Disney's streaming products, as well as the unified character across Disney's products, parks, and experiences.
- *The Role**
As an HR Business Partner, you'll sit at the intersection of HR and the business, working closely with our Programming and Product groups within the Trade, Development, and Personality association. You'll lead and collaborate with all HR projects and initiatives on the side of the client group through partnership across key business and HR stakeholders. As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you'll provide expert guidance on all talent matters, including organizational effectiveness, leader effectiveness, change management, organizational design, and learning opportunities.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, fostering effective working relationships with internal partners and clients.
- Proactively evaluate business and organizational performance to suggest and drive action through a consultative, "impact without power" approach.
- Mentor leaders on HR strategies, processes, and management issues, including talent planning, learning and development, employee engagement and inclusion, and performance management to advance a culture of continuous growth and innovation.
- Embody a growth mindset, seeking out new approaches to our work by demonstrating adaptability, agility, transparency, readiness, and global thinking.
- Prioritize and respond to leaders and employees with a focus on speed and completion.
- Analyze HR data and trends, presenting insights in a clear and compelling manner to inform recommendations.
- Collaborate with Headcount/Asset Management and Talent Acquisition and Compensation partners to ensure a seamless recruitment and hiring process.
- Utilize knowledge of individual and organizational dynamics to support onboarding, talent management, internal mobility, and overall team development.
- Partner with DEI functional groups and employee resource groups to execute and track the outcomes of key Inclusion initiatives.
- Evaluate talent capabilities and development needs based on business strategy, collaborating with Learning functional partners to design and deliver development experiences to close gaps between current and future capabilities.
- Lead organizational design projects to streamline and implement new designs, roles, or processes that drive speed and productivity and support rapidly changing business needs.
- Collaborate with other HR colleagues, fostering a positive work relationship, and working together on projects and initiatives across various groups within Disney Entertainment and arenaflex.
- *Required Capabilities and Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within a tech organization working with software development or product groups.
- Experience working with senior leaders in an "impact without power" role.
- Ability to perform with a "focus in" mindset, equally proficient at thinking strategically and functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity – addressing issues that don't always have a process or framework in place, and potentially with conflicting needs or perspectives.
- Strong business acumen with a sharp ability to process new information quickly.
- Exhibited ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to drive business results.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to rapidly interpret data, identify trends, and suggest solutions.
- Autonomous work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal management.
- *Education**
Four-year degree from an accredited college, ideally in Business, HR Management, Psychology, or a related field, with relevant work experience.
- *Compensation and Benefits**
The base salary offered will be commensurate with internal value and may vary based on the candidate's geographic location, work-related experience, skills, and qualifications, among other factors. A bonus or long-term incentive units may be included as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of clinical, financial, or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
